If you want to disable My Computer in a specialized environment like a kiosk:
- Find tree 20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID
- Delete the tree and all subkeys (DefaultIcon, LocalServer, ProgID, Version)
If you have to do this, be sure to save the subtree to a .ref file BEFORE you proceed so you can restore it if needs be.
