Explorer in Windows 2000, like Windows NT, hides system files. Windows 2000 Explorer actually hides certain folders. To be able to view all files and folders, in Windows 2000 Explorer:
- Click Tools / Folder Options...
- Click Tools / Folder Options... /
- Select radio button Show hidden files and folders
Windows 2000 also hides system components. See Adding / Removing Windows 2000 Components
