Want to create a keyboard shortcut to popup a folder at any time:
- In Windows Explorer, browse to the folder
- Right-Click the folder
- Click Send To
- Select Desktop (create shortcut)
- On the desktop, right–click the new shortcut
- Click Properties
- Enter the ctrl-alt-letter or ctrl-shift-letter of your choice in the shortcut key box
For example, ctrl-alt-f or ctrl-shft-f
You can also create keyboard shortcuts for applications. See User Tip #112: Windows Hot-key shortcuts which works for Windows NT / Windows 2000 / Windows XP.
The Mastering series is quite good.
