Creative has released native XP drivers for their sound cards. Creative has enhanced some of these drivers significantly over what was delivered with XP. Check the SoundBlaster XP site: www.soundblaster.com/support/winxp/ As a general rule, go to the vendors site to check for the latest drivers.
