Spooling print using RAW data mode is faster because NT does not have to convert your print data to metafile format (a CPU intense activity). To give it a try, click Start/Settings/Printers, right-click printer icon, Select Properties/General tab/Print Processor button/Always Spool RAW Datatype tab.
